Lost in a flood around 2500 BC, Vanuvati is a doll with an enigmatic smile. She is discovered in 713 AD by Mariam, the sister of an Arab horse trader — only to disappear once more.
Centuries pass before three children, helping at an archaeological excavation in Gujarat, uncover the fascinating figurine. Then strange things start happening — flashing lights and sounds of digging at dead of night, and a mysterious marauder who will stop at nothing. When Vanuvati is stolen, Vittal, Malavika, Chikka, and Bholu the camel boy decide to get to the bottom things.
