Radhika Menon and Sandhya Rao attended the Asian Children's Writers & Illustrators Conference 2003 (20-21 Nov), organised by the National Book Development Council of Singapore. The conference is an annual meeting point for writers, illustrators, editors, publishers, agents, retailers and buyers of Asian children's books.

At the conference Radhika led a discussion on Giving children images to grow up with. Sandhya conducted a workshop on The idea of Asia through children's books and was a panelist in the Vayu Naidu-led discussion Multiculturalism and political correctness in the Asian context. She also . . .

spoke to parents and teachers about nurturing creativity in children at September 21 (left),
and (right) read some of her stories to children at Mary Mount Convent School.
