DOTS AND LINES: a teaching resource for art
by Tarit Bhattacharjee

Making art accessible to all – this is what this book sets out to do. By drawing attention to the dot. the circle, the line and shapes, it breaks away from the conventional ideas of art and leads into exploration and ways of seeing. It helps nurture an artistic temper through a series of exercises and activities, and lays the foundation for an understanding of aesthetics. The exercises work because they are based on actual classroom experiments and observations.
This book has been compiled and designed by Nomita Khatri as part of her diploma project for the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, while interning with Tulika.
