I Love Books

The first step to help children build a long-lasting bond with books is to get them to read books, think and talk about them. Trying to do just that, Tulika Publishers of India came up with their publication — I Love Books. The book is available at Books Gallery, Sahara Center in Sharjah....
          I Love Books is aimed at Classes one to five. It is designed to make children work on their own. The important thing is to allow children to go through the book at their own pace, to enjoy the activities and not feel pressured into doing them as 'work'. Many schools have acknowledged the book as an ideal teaching tool.
          "The idea here is for children to have fun on this discovery trail. They need to understand by themselves that books are good friends, friends for life," says Siju V. Ravi, store-in-charge of Books Gallery.
