Kalia, a poor cobbler, lives with
his wife, Swapan, in Patna. He makes fantastic shoes with fine
curling points. Tired of being poor, he seeks the help of a holy
man. The holy man appoints him a ghost, Bhootram, who will earn
Kalia a lot of money. But Bhootram must always be kept busy or
he will eat them up! What will they do? The
illustrations for this book are inspired by the world famous
Mithila paintings of Bihar, popularly known as Madhubani.
