Pure pleasure!

The poems, ditties and nonsense verse in this colourful book for toddlers are like little polished gems, glinting in the sunlight... A mixture of poems from many Indian languages (mostly folk, anonymous, undated) adapted and translated into English plus poems written originally in English by Indian writers, the book has a delicious zing to it that is infectious. It has beautiful illustrations too.

A way to learn, preserve, and pass on knowledge

Rhymes and stories are a way to learn, preserve and pass on knowledge almost without the child even registering that she/he is learning. Dum Dum Dho does all this and more, using ideas, concepts and objects that are familiar to the Indian child. - The Book Review, November 2016
